Evaluation of the different technologies available for the needle-free injection of treatments in pig production
Meat Quality and Technical Services
Aim / objectives:
The main objective of the project is to evaluate the application potential of different technologies available for needle-free injection in pig production. The choice of equipment must be made not only according to the reliability of the devices, but also according to the needs of commercial producers.
To get there, we will have to:
- Identify all technologies that are currently available for needle-free injection (literature review);
- Select the equipment with the best potential (target of 2 devices);
- Evaluate ease of adoption by producers (ease of use, maintenance, etc.);
- Evaluate the cost of implementing the technology on a commercial farm.
