The members of the Committee for Research, Development and Knowledge Transfer for the swine industry (RDT Committee) have consulted with more than 80 experts in the swine sector with the aim of identifying research topics to be prioritized in the next few years.
The resulting document, which is the outcome of this collaborative effort, will be a most relevant tool for researchers to prepare projects that respond to the concerns of the sector, with potential for significant benefits to the industry.
In addition, program managers will be able to use this Guide as a reference for selecting projects in a context where budget envelopes are limited.
The committee also plans to carry out an annual follow-up in order to provide, if necessary, updates according to the evolution of the situation in the swine sector.
