Transport
Transport is one of the most important risk factors of disease spreading.
For example, the main risk of introduction and spread of the PED virus in Quebec's swine population is associated with the routes of cull animals (sows and hogs), the transportation of commercial pigs and the importation of contaminated animals.
The CDPQ health and biosecurity team offers transport audit services (see
Services).
