Objectives

Reduce the frequency of PED outbreaks and lower the risk of the virus spreading among the Quebec swine herd by improving facilities, equipment and work procedures of businesses associated with rendering and culls, similarly with companies involved in transporting pigs, and by mounting an awareness campaign among slaughterhouse owners.
